With his story set in Cornwall during World War Two, the author wanted a cover that would immediately make the reader think of Cornwall. He had in mind blue skies and turquoise water.

I felt that this would contrast with the subject matter of the book which is a spy thriller. Although I used an image of Cornwall, I opted for a muted colour scheme more in keeping with the subject.
